Come along to DCRC’s Craft and Chat Day on Tuesdays from 9.30 to 11.30.  It’s great fun and, if you don’t consider yourself ‘arty or crafty’ it doesn’t matter.  We have people who are happy to help and give you ideas.—you’ll be amazed at what you can do with the proper tools and some advice.

Our Craft Conveners have come up with some fantastic ideas with candle making coming up in April. Keep an eye on the website for the full time table.  If you want to do your own thing bring along something to decorate – photo frames, mirrors, jars, boxes, fans, wooden letters for kids rooms and whatever else you bring along.   DCRC will provide plenty of craft materials – beads, lace, paint, glitter, glue etc.  as well as tea and coffee (and of course great company) for $4.00.  At present there is no child minding at DCRC on Tuesdays however if there are enough people who require child minding on a regular basis we can organise it.  In the meantime there is occasional care available at Water Street Occasional Care PH:  4031 2983 for bookings.

 Costs for the various craft workshops will vary depending on the equipment required so don’t forget to check with DCRC.

 Once you get your creative juices flowing  you can work with the Craft Conveners to develop additional craft projects.  Of course you can always just come along to chat or undertake simple projects from the materials we have on hand.
